Here is another picture of a man-made waterfall, although I do not think this dam was built for a mill.  For whatever reason it was built it created a nice waterfall. Related Posts:No Related Posts

I was in Waldenbooks yesterday and saw a book on waterfalls in New England which said Rhode Island has only one waterfall worthy of your attention.  However the book neglected to mention that there are some man made waterfalls associated with mill towns worthy of your attention, so today’s picture is one of them.  This waterfall is located off [...]

This is a picture of the North Providence Ladder Co. 1.  Nothing extremely special, I suspect they had responded to a fire drill or false alarm because I did not see the ladder up at any point or any water going into the building, but since the building this truck came out of was a [...]

This is a picture of some Canadian Geese flying through the sun.  These geese were flying over head at Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge in Southern Rhode Island.  Ninigret was named after one of the original chiefs of the Narragansett Indians.  Also Ninigret Wildlife Refuge is also the same place the where I spotted the hellcat flying.  See Ninigret [...]

Here is a picture of a Poinsettia for Poinsettia day which I just recently found out was yesterday, in honor of Joel Roberts Poinsett (1779 – 1851), the first United States Ambassador to Mexico appointed by President John Quincy Adams in the 1820′s.  The anniversary of his death was established by act of congress more than 150 years ago as National Poinsettia Day.  [...]

This is a picture of the gingerbread house that my mom and I put together the other day.  I made the icicle on the side, which I think look alright; but it is hard to force the sugar through that special plastic thing they give you.  Maybe, next I’ll try making another gingerbread house sometime [...]

Today’s picture is more Christmas lights.  I really liked how these particular lights were strung high up in the trees although you cannot see the trees in the picture you can probably tell they are up in the trees. Related Posts:No Related Posts

This is a picture of the absolutely splendorous sunrise we had this morning.  When there are clouds in the sky you know the sunrise will be nice, but not always this nice.  It is funny that the sun rises every day, but it is always new each day, never the same patterns, just like a snow [...]
