Cat Attack

I was reading the Police logs that I received on 9/28 and this was just too funny. So I had to post it.

Cat Attack

A woman, living at 7 Indian Street, reported Sunday, that she was attacked by a cat while she was outside carrying a bag of garbage. The cat followed her inside, after biting her, and is being held at the Animal Pond.

It must be said that the humor in this is not found at any harm that may have come to the lady (and I in fact hope she is ok), but at the situation and circumstances surrounding this.

what is an animal pond?

The word pond comes from Middle English ponde, from Old English pund-, enclosure.

"The words pond and pound were often used interchangeably (which is why impound can have the sense of storing water in a reservoir). The other senses of the word—the unit of British currency, the unit of weight, and the verb to strike heavily—are all unconnected with it in their word origins."
