My car has once again has a blown head gasket! This is the second time in less than two years; in fact I think it was just fixed just over a year ago. Anyhow, I took the car it to get the oil changed a couple of days ago figuring that maybe would help fix whatever was heating up and causing all the smoke to come off the engine, and boy was I wrong; although they did tell me I need a new oil cap which might help a little. It turned out the head gasket had blown again. You may now be thinking that I drive like some sort of maniac and push my car too hard. I ensure you this is not the case, I by no means pushed my car to perform and if I did the car would probably have been destroyed long ago. So knowing that I do not drive the car overly hard I ran a Google search for Plymouth Breeze and head gasket, and low and behold this is a common problem with the Breeze, Neon, and Stratus. One poor guy even had his fixed three times, he said,( and that poor guy is soon to be me at the this rate). Now that I know that this guy had his fixed three times and others have had to get the head gasket fixed after only 15,000 miles with the car, I am starting to wonder what can be done, and if a new redesigned head gasket can be put on or if it is just better to get a new car. To make this even worst the head gasket is not a really expensive part, but in order to put it on the car has to be virtually disassembled making it about a $1,000 job. To end I will say do not buy a Plymouth Breeze or Dodge/Plymouth neon or Dodge stratus without being prepared to replace a head gasket! And if you have it in your heart to help me get this problem fixed please feel free to donate money towards my car via paypal at the top of my website, Thank You.
