This is a photograph of the New Jamestown Verrazano Bridge, it replaced the old more than a decade and a half ago. However, because of controversy the old was only demolished less than 2 years ago.

This photograph of the Jamestown Verrazno Bridge was taken just over a week ago. The Jamestown Verrazno Bridge spans the West Passage of Narragansett Bay, and replaced the old Jamestown Verrazno Bridge in 1992. Although, the old bridge still remained standing an unused until April of 2006 when they finally demolished it. The photograph was taken from Jamestown (a town which covers all of Conanicut Island) looking across the bay towards plum beach in North Kingstown. I really like how this photograph came out, because I think it really shows the bridge in a good light and still maintains the foreground elements, while also drawing your focus into the sunset.
