Mr. Taco Que Pasa was born on March 15, 1979 after the Blain family moved to West Warwick from Anhiem, Califorina in 1978. In their menu they descirbe moving here and not finding any good Mexican food as a very traumatic experience that was more than they could bear; which is why they opened Mr. Taco in 1979, however it was not quite the Mr. Taco we know today, they began with a small building at 693 Providence Street that only offered seating for 8. Then on December 6, 1980 they moved to 49 Providence Street where they are today and offered seating for 49, expeanded their menu and added a full liquor licence. Just under 7 years later on September 26, 1987 they upgraded thier bulding to a new building that is more spacious and expaneded thier menu even further to become the Mr. Taco we all know and love.

Mr. Taco in West Warwick serves some of the best Mexico food in Rhode Island. I had no idea that this treasure of a Mexico resturant was hinding in West Warwick until yesterday. Yeah I had hear about if from family and friends, but did not think to go until yesterday mostly because my sister suggested it, but it proved to be good suggestion. They serve not only most types of things you would find at a mexican resturant, but they also serve a large varity of things that are not as much mexican, but mabye slighly more American. You can get fish, chicken, shrimp, pork dishes in American style or more you can get most of the same selections in tranditional Mexican dishes. Mr. Taco today is still located on 49 Providence St., West Warwick, their phone number is 828-7573, they are open Sun-Thurs, 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Fri-Sat, 11 a.m.-midnight, and accept most major credit cards.
