This past Labor day weekend NSBC(North Stonington Bible Church) had a Bible conference as they have every Labor Day and Memorial Day as far back as I can remember. Of course even though they have Bible conference every Memorial Day and Labor Day and always have lots of food, fun, and good Bible teaching, they usually have different speakers for each conference.
At this years Labor Day conference the speaker was Charles Clough (the author of a 224 lesson Biblical framework series which can be downloaded from CClough.com) who took us though a series on the book of Ecclesiastes, and really explains a lot of interesting things about the Bible in a well though out logical way that I have never really though of before.
He just touched on every field: for example, he showed how the ten commandments were related to each other like how the 1st and 2nd to the 10th, the 3rd to 9th, the 4th to the 8th, the 5th to the 7th, and then life in the middle with the commandment not to murder.
In addition, he explained that God does not suppress memories, therefore when we get to heaven we can be happy knowing a loved one is in hell not because God takes that memory away, but because He allows us to see from His view point that the person has rebelled against God. As far as the fun goes, there was all sorts of stuff: basketball, horse shoes, volleyball, skateboarding, biking, four square, etc.
