View looking up a tree in Ryan Park

This photograph was taken of a tree in North Kingstown’s Ryan Park, where the foliage is currently beautiful. Ryan Park in North Kingstown also has an astounding number of waterfowl and other birds, that flock in extremely large numbers. This week I will be highlight a few other photographs from Ryan Park and perhaps talk about some other sights and places, which are distinctly associated with Rhode Island.

Also, I have decided that I will be restarting my Picture of the Day Series again. For those of you that have been following my blog for a while you may remember that I did a Picture of the Day series between November 21st, 2006 and New Year’s of 2007.

It took a lot of effort to come up with a new and enticing picture, each and every day, but I feel it was well worth it; as many people are still finding and enjoying my pictures, from the first series, most every day. However, fiscally it was not very sustainable; as it required quite a bit of time and resources on my part, and produced virtually no money. However, I feel that capturing and sharing the beauty of God’s creation with you is a worth while endeavor, and as you might imagine good camera equipment is quite expensive. Therefore, I am asking that in order to help make this effort more sustainable that you consider supporting this website with a one time donation of $100 or more or consider a monthly donation of $20 or more a month. In exchange for your one time donation of $100 or more I will provide you with a free print of your choice, up to poster size. For an ongoing monthly donations of $20 a month or more you are initially eligible for a free print up to 8 by 12 size.

In addition if you decide to do either a monthly or one time donation you will periodically receive passwords for discounted galleries in the private section of RIPhoto.com where you will be able to print unlimited quantities of select photographs at deeply discounted prices. I understand that times are tough right now for many of you as they are for me; which is why I do not expect you to part with you money for something that will not be mutually beneficial. Thus, in addition I will also be starting a business directory for anyone who makes one of the above donation options I will list your name and company in it. You will receive 6 months for a one time donation of $100 or for $20 or more monthly you will remain listed in it for as long as your continue your monthly support. Being that my website receive about 80 visitors a day on average you can see that there is a good chance you will easily reach at least a small percentage of those 2400 or so monthly visitors. I just want to make it as easy as possible for you to support my website. Also, after you make a donation please be sure to send me an email with your business information so I can list you in the directory and can periodically send you private gallery passwords.

Why am I calling it a donation when I am giving you all kinds of great benefits in exchange? Let me make it clear I am not calling this a donation because I believe this investment is not worth your money or anything of the sort, but rather because I truly believe you will be supporting a noble cause. Forgive me if you think I sound exaggeratedly altruistic; I understand that I am not expressly representing a charity or such and so your donations will not be tax deductible. However, I am always willing to provide photography services for those that would not otherwise be able to afford a professional photographer. So, please if you have ever known of a organization that needs a photographer or a charity doing a fund raiser and in need of scenic images this is how you can help make such possible. So please make your donation today. The links are on the sidebar, and if for some reason you cannot find the sidebar check the bottom of the page, as it is programmed to go down there if something on the page is interferes with it. Also if you happen to be a representative of such an organization please feel free to contact me concerning your needs.
