This picture of a white birch tree was taken in Ryan Park just after sunset. I think it looks pretty good considering I took it at iso 3200. Which is pretty crazy considering that not long ago this would be what an iso 800 or so shot would look like from your DSLR. I wonder how high camera makers will be able to push the iso sensitivity levels before there is simply not enough light to reach the sensor. I imagine they will continue to increase sensitivity, and some day we may see in standard to have a sort of night vision (not infrared night vision) mode on many DSLRs, like what we are already seeing in security cameras and consumer video cameras today. I say this because Nikon has already taken the first step in blurring the line between DSLR cameras and video cameras with the D90 Although, you probably will not be able to notice a lot of the noise in this low resolution version here, there is definitely some very noticeable noise in the original. I wish I had noise ninja to really make the noise unnoticeable.
In regards to the tree I am not sure what it was about this tree that looked so interesting to me, but I really liked how it kind of snaked up and I think the white of the tree really goes well with the green and yellow of the leaves, as white usally goes well with most any color.
