These are some photographs of the last full lighting for Waterfire this year. Waterfire has become a hallmark unique to the city of Providence; with many other cities now desiring to implement similar traditions. Providence Waterfire has a rather ominous, but clam sense to it. Despite the foreboding sense cast by the volunteers dressing in black (one with a mask even near some jack o lanterns), and the somewhat dark ambient music (which was likely made a shade darker for Halloween); overall there is a relatively serene atmosphere around Waterfire. Although, the volunteers do always dress in black, in order to blend in with the night and not to draw attention away from the fires, it certainly compliments the upcoming eerie holiday of Halloween, and they indeed drew on it to an extent.
