The Ghost of a Dream is a full size Hummer H3 made completely of Lottery tickets. This Hummer obviously has no working interior; it is made simply as art. The Hummer is on sale for the about same price of a real one: $35,000. The artists cite two reasons for the price: one they wanted it to cost about the same price of a real Hummer H3, and secondly that is the cost of all the scratch tickets they used to create the Hummer. I just wonder if the artist through this up as a way to try and win the lottery and still have a way to break even, minus the time spent crafting the vehicle, even if their attempt proved unsuccessful.
According to the Projo that is not the case, and the artist through it up because they kept on finding lottery tickets on the ground, and began to think about the fact that when someone wins the lottery the first thing they do is buy a car. Even if the win is small non job quiting win. I know a car is the first thing I would probably buy if I won the lottery; not just because I would want a nice luxury car ,but because I desperately need a new car. However, I think if I won the lottery for a large amount I would go for a Hummer H1, because that is a real Hummer that you can actually take off-roading.
